John Blevins Named Heating Fuels Manager at Blue Ridge Energies

West Jefferson, North Carolina (August 13, 2004) – John Blevins of West Jefferson has been named manager of heating fuels for the Ashe County office of Blue Ridge Energies, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation offering propane and heating fuels to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Blue Ridge Energies also maintains a showroom inside the Blue Ridge Electric district office featuring gas logs,       Blevins fireplaces, stoves, Monitors and other heating and
hearth products.

In his position with Blue Ridge Energies, Blevins will be responsible for business development, customer relations, and operations. He will also oversee the staff providing delivery of heating fuels and propane as well as installation of showroom hearth appliances available from Blue Ridge Energies.

A native of Ashe County, Blevins comes to Blue Ridge Energies after a twelve-year career with Leviton Manufacturing Company, where he served as industrial/manufacturing engineering manager. He is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Active in his community, Blevins serves as vice chair of the Ashe County Planning Board and is a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He and his wife, Amy, reside in West Jefferson with their eight-month old son, Cade.
