Lenoir, North Carolina (March 28, 2003) – Cheek’s Convenience Store
and Grill at 2689 Blowing Rock Blvd. in Lenoir is upgrading its exterior
and changing to BP’s new design with assistance from gasoline supplier
Blue Ridge Energies.
Cheek’s will continue to honor Amoco and BP credit cards and sell Amoco
fuels, which drivers in a national survey have rated number one in
quality.
“Our customers can expect the same clean, modern, well-lit facility
offering the same high-quality fuels that they’ve always come to expect
at Cheek’s,” said store owner Larry Cheek.
The station’s new BP logo will be a modern Helios symbol with green
representing BP’s environmental responsibility and yellow, in the image
of the sun. Welcoming green and yellow graphics will also replace Amoco’s
red, white, and blue stripes. The conversion to BP was recently
completed, and the station welcomes customers to fill all their gasoline
needs at Cheek’s brightly lit gasoline court as well as its fully stocked
convenience store and grill located directly on Blowing Rock Blvd. in the
Patterson community.
Blue Ridge Energies provides branded and unbranded commercial gasoline to
locations in northwest North Carolina.
BP is the single, global corporate brand formed by the combination of the
former British Petroleum, Amoco, ARCO, and Burmah Castrol.
