Blue Ridge Electric, Energies Hold Open House

BOONE, NORTH CAROLINA (May 15, 2001) – An open house will be held Saturday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the offices of Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation and Blue Ridge Energies, located at 2491 US Highway 421 South in Boone, across from Mack Brown Chevrolet. 

Blue Ridge Electric and its propane subsidiary, Blue Ridge Energies, are celebrating their new appliance and hearth products showroom as well as newly renovated offices in their joint facility. 

During the open house, advisors will be on hand to assist those building a home or interested in appliances and hearth products designed to make homes more energy efficient. In addition to Blue Ridge Electric and Blue Ridge Energies personnel, vendors and manufacturing representatives will be on hand to discuss fireplace inserts and logs, the new tank-less water heaters, space heaters, gas grills, and more. 

Customers signing up for propane gas service from Blue Ridge Energies that day will receive a discount on their first fill-up. Visitors to the open house can also fill their gas grill cylinder that day for $5 (limited to a 20 lb. cylinder). 

Other savings that day include: discounts of 30% on all closeout items, up to 20% on all in-stock items excluding water heaters and Monitor heaters, and a special 10% discount for special orders placed that day. 

Three Blue Ridge Energies gas grills will be given away in drawings held for those who register at the open house. In addition, cooking demonstrations will be on-going that day and hot dogs will be grilled outside the facility, with drinks also available.
