1. What do you offer and why should I choose Blue Ridge Energies?

Blue Ridge Energies offers propane, heating fuels, kerosene, diesel fuel, and commercial gasoline.  We also employ trained technicians to provide installation and maintenance services on our products.  Please see the Heating Fuels or Gasoline Sales in our Product and Services section of this site for further detail.

We offer 24-hour emergency customer service, which means you have the security of knowing that we’re always there for your needs.

Blue Ridge Energies provides an “keep full delivery” program, which helps ensure your tank is always full and ready for your use.

We offer installation of our showroom products, and we have hearth products (gas logs, mantels, and inserts) and other gas appliances (space heaters, gas grills, etc.) in our Lenoir, Boone and West Jefferson showrooms. 

Convenient payment options are available. We accept MasterCard and Visa, and we provide financing of appliances for approved accounts.

Our keep full delivery customers receive a special price when their account is paid in full within 30 days of delivery. Check out additional discounts available to our senior citizens and our budget billing program.  

We own and lease bulk storage of fuel products to ensure we have ample supplies for our customers.  We keep a large supply of fuel oil and propane on hand and are prepared to take care of your heating and propane needs.

Our trained technicians can deliver and install propane appliances purchased through our showrooms.  We also provide maintenance services.

We work with each customer on an individual basis to  help you find the right energy solutions for your home or business.

2. What is the price of a propane tank?

We provide propane tanks to our customers at no cost although installation fees will apply.  Blue Ridge Energies can also sell tanks to customers who prefer to own their own tank and take advantage of additional discounts.  Depending on size, you can expect to pay between $200 and $1,500 for your tank. (Extra fees apply for under- ground installation.)

We also sell fuel oil tanks and stands.  Please contact your local Blue Ridge Energies office for pricing and installation.

3. When can my tank be installed?

We strive for timely service and are continually scheduling installations.  However, installation times will vary depending on the time of year you request your tank installation.  Summer installations can usually be scheduled within one or two business days while winter installations may take as long as three or four weeks.  A Blue Ridge Energies service technician will contact you to determine a day and time when your tank can be installed.

4. Do I have to pay all at once?

Customers can pay in full or take advantage of our budget billing option that allows a customer to spread your payments over a 12-month period.  Payment discounts are also available.

5. Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept MasterCard™ and Visa™.  (Note:  Our parent company, Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation, has a credit card offer you may want to look over.)

6. Do you have financing available for hearth products and grills?

Yes, up to $1500 (with approved credit) and at competitive rates.

7. How much will it cost to heat my house/apartment/ business?

There are many variables that affect heating costs. A typical usage pattern can often be determined after using fuel in your current setting for at least one year. Consideration must be made for weather conditions - mild or severe weather can significantly affect usage.

Heating cost variables include: amount of insulation, number of windows, and individual usage. Heating cost for gas logs will depend on what they are being used for - appearance, heating one room, or several rooms.
